Our Story

It all started in June of 2016 when Michele, a former art teacher and lifelong entrepreneur, decided to embark on a journey into the world of running an artisan chocolate shop, shortly after finishing her chocolatier training in nearby Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Over the the next six months she learned the ins and outs of the business through a LOT of hard work, passion, and plenty of trial & error.

Things changed in all sorts of ways just before Christmas that year when Daren, an entrepreneur with a background in technology, walked in and locked eyes with that chocolatier. It's a moment that has turned into a life full of synchronicities for both of us and we're excited to share our story with everyone out there!

We decided to partner-up in the chocolate business and over the long, cold Pagosa Springs winter our commercial kitchen was completed so we now make all of our product in-house. 

Another recent addition to the business was Daren's book of family fudge recipes which have proven to be extremely popular - so much so that we decided to spin it off into it's own brand, "Colorado Fudge Company" with wholesale sales slated for later this year.

We're also excited about our Chocolate of the Month boxes that start shipping in July - it's chocolate with altitude delivered to your door every month!
